From an overall perspective, the three primary news sources for young adults are TV, online news sites, and others. Compared to older people, their three main news sources are TV, printed newspapers, and others.
According to the survey, young adults used TV as their main news source 35% of the time. However, 42% of older people used TV, 7% more than young adults. Young adults used online news sites and other sources 3% and 27% more than older people. Additionally, printed newspapers were used the least by young adults. Compared to online news sites, printed newspaper smaller proportion (less than 3/11) and 23% less than for older people. Older people did not use online news sites as much (6%), the same proportion as printed newspapers used by young adults. Printed newspapers made up only 2/11 of young adults, main news sources and 3/50 of the total for older people.
