Last year, Perth was the highest water consumer among cities, using an average of about 300 kiloliters per property. After that, the next top consumers were Adelaide and Brisbane, where the percentages were almost the same, around 240 and 250 kiloliters per property, respectively. The city with the least water consumption was Canberra, where the water usage was just under 150 kiloliters per property.
The highest Australian water consumption distribution was for agricultural purposes, at 67%. In a distant second place was households, which used only 9% of the water. There were some other supplies, such as electricity and gas supply or water supply, that used 7% each.
