Overall, the Perth had the highest water consumption rate and the Canberra had lowest. On the contrary, the amount of water distributed in agriculture was more than the half of total water consumption distribution, whereas, mining needed the lowest.
The average annual residential water consumption was about 300 kilolitres per property in Perth. In Brisbane and Adelaide, water consumption is around 250 kilolitres per property. Next, in Sydney, this amount is almost 200 kiloletres per property. Lastly, Melbourne and Canberra consumed nearly 150 kilolitres per property.
In the bar chart, the water distributed in agriculture sector was 67%. This is the highest percentage in last year. The households needed 9% of the total distribution. Water supply, sewages and drainage, and electricity and gas supply required 7% of water distribution for each. Moreover, Manufacturing and other industries consumed 4% in both sectors. Lastly, the mining took the minimum water distribution, which was only 2%.
