A notable disparity is observed between the sports preferences of males and females, with males predominantly favoring soccer, while females exhibit a strong inclination towards netball.

Conversely, netball’s appeal was starkly different, resonating with 20% of females, whilst only attracting about 2% of males, indicating a marked gender-based preference.
Examining the lesser-played sports, basketball and tennis displayed relatively comparable participation rates, with males engaging at approximately 11% and 8%, respectively, while their female counterparts participated at about 8% and 7%. Furthermore, the data reveals that males exhibited a pronounced preference for cricket, with approximately 10% participation, in contrast to a mere 1% for females. Additionally, the category labeled ‘other sports’ attracted about 5% of males and around 7% of females, highlighting the broader spectrum of sports engagement among the examined genders.
