The following table illustrates the average rate of grains yield in million metric tons between 2010 and 2015, and the table also demonstrates the expectations for the grains productions until 2030.
The Wheat production rate has increased from 100 million metric tons in 2010 to reach 105 in 2015. Its yield is expected to grow gradually to 110 by 2030. On the other side, the Barley production was 50 in 2010, and It rose dramatically to approach 70 in 2015. Moreover, it’s expected to constantly increase to reach 100 by 2030.
Statistics revealed that maize follows a plateau trend as the change in production is almost negligible. it has only increased from 34 to 34.5 in five years, from 2010 to 2015, and It’s assumed to be 35 in 2030. In rice production, we can see that the rate is fluctuating, Because the rate has slightly declined from 24.7 in 2010 to 24.3 in 2015, while it’s assumed to rise gradually to 25.5 in 2030.
Overall, we can notice that the Wheat production rate is the highest among all of the grains. Furthermore, the yield rate of the Wheat, Barley, and Maize are going up, while the rate of Rice is fluctuating.
