The bar graph shows the percentage of people in the UK that give donations to charity by different age groups between 1990 and 2010. Overall, it can be seen that elderly age groups or above 51 years old experienced an improvement in terms of how many of them were donating to charity while younger age groups saw a decline.
People who donate in the age range of 18 and 25 was the lowest for both years by about 17% in 1990 then decreased even more to 7% for the next 20 years. Similarly, middle-aged people between 26 and 50 years old were also decreasing for approximately 7%. Started with around 31% to 24% for the age range of 26-35 while the age range 36-50 started from 42% to 35%.
Meanwhile, older age groups started at 30’s % in 1990 and then increased around 4% for the age range 51-65% and around 3% for those above 65 years old.
