The chart shows the level of donation among people of different age in Britain.
An overall view reveals that a greater percentage of Britain people gave money to charity in 1990 than in 2010. A more precise comparison can be done by taking into account people under and above 50 years.
In 1990, 42% of people between 36 and 50 years old devolved some of their money to charity, and this is the highest figure in the chart. On the other hand only 17% of 18 – 25s made charitable donation. By 2010 both this age range experienced a-significant drop to 35 and 7 percent respectively. Analogous consideration can be made for the second group showed in the chart, in-fact it figure decreased from 31% to 24%.
While donation up to the age of 50 years declined across the years the same cannot be told for the 51 – 65 group, who saw a raise from 35% to almost 40%, which was the highest percentage for 2010 data. A similar trend was followed by people over 65 years old, although the increase was slightly lower, from 32% in 1990 to 35% in 2010
