In 1995, coal accounted for 29.80% of France’s energy production, followed by gas at 29.63%, then 29.27% from petro, while the remaining 30.16% come from nuclear and others.
By 2005, coal share had increase to 30.93%, supassing all other energy, then energy from gas showed a consistent downward trend, rising 29.63% became 30.31%, althought petro became the leading source in 1995, however, it slighly decline to 19.55% in 2005. In contras, the proportion from nuclear and others upward become 10.30% and 9.10% respectively.
