Looking at the expenditure of women on clothes, there was a significant increase from its starting point of $500 in 1985 to about 650$ and also reached a peak in 2005. By contrast, the spending of boys remained stable at around $100 and was the lowest figure over the period shown.
Regarding the expenditure of men, there was a remarkable growth of 140$ in the first 10 years before witnessing a slight decrease to 400$ in 2005. When it comes to the girls’ figure, it experienced a gradual upturn from $100 to $170 in 1985 and 2005, respectively.
