Overall, most US citizens visit fast-food restaurants at least once a week or once or twice a month in all 3 years. In addition, only a small proportion of people eat every day or never in these restaurants.
According to the data, just above 30% of American people ate in fast-food restaurants in 2003 and 2006, however, it experienced a slight drop to approximately 27% in 2013. Meanwhile in 2013, the proportion of people who visited once or twice a month was around 33% and higher than in 2003 and 2006 by nearly 3% and 8%, respectively.
The percentage of those who ate several times a week changed between 15% and 20% during the period, while the proportion of visitors a few times a year rose from around 13% in 2003 to 15% in both 2006 and 2013. By contrast, both the percentage of people who ate every day and never, faced a slight decline(nearly 2%) in 2006 and 2013.
