Overall, there were 10 distinct sectors listed with their total spending recorded up to over 300 billion AED. It is also clear that Social security and Health and personal social services accounted for the majority of the budget allocation. In stark contrast, those of Transport and Industry, agriculture and employment were negligible.
Regarding sectors with the highest spending, Social security made up almost a third of the budget, which doubled Health and personal services at 53 billion AED, to be precise.
Concerning sections with expenditure surpassing 20 billion AED, Education was the leader of this group at exactly 38 billion, which is the third highest category, distantly followed by Debt interest, Other expenditure, Defence in ascending order with their figure ranged from 23 to 22 billion AED.
Looking at the remaining categories which comprised of 4 sections. It is clear that Transport made up the smallest proportion of just 9 billion AED, while others’ numbers ranged from 13 to 17 billion AED.
