The table delineates the figure for various species of birds having surveillance at two-selective seasons of the year, including Winter and Summer in Woodchuck County.
At the first glance, it is evident that a greater variety of birds were observed in Woodchuck Counter in the summer. Whereas several species could be seen in both seasons, juncos were the distinctive one which occurred in the winter.
Regarding the genre of birds that exclusively occurred in either winter or summer, it is noticed that these feathered creatures came to Woodchuck Counter due to breeding or migration with their species. While almost all kinds of birds including bluebirds, mockingbirds, orioles and vireos have been observed in the summer, juncos were the only one appearing in the cold season – winter. This phenomenon demonstrates the fact that most feathered creatures tended to prefer bright, pleasant weather in the summer to the harshness of winter.
In terms of birds seen in both summer and winter, cardinals were one of most adaptable species. Besides, not only crows but also woodpeckers showed up in the hot and cold season, marking these ones are familiar with Woodchuck Counter’s residents.
