The line graph illustrates information about people of different age groups who went to the gym at least once or more in Europe between two years, namely 1990 and 2010.
Overall, the proportion of people going to the gym increased in all age groups over the period. People aged 25-34 recorded the highest persentage in1990, while 45 years and over people showed the lowest figure throughout the period.
9% of people from 25 to 34 went to the gym, making it the largets figure in 1990, whereas people aged 18-24 were 8% in 1990. After that this number increased sharply, accounting for 50% and 59%, although the figure for the 18-24 age group decreased slightly from 2006 to 2008, respectively.
5% of 35-44-year-olds attended the gym, while this figure for the 45+ group was much lower, at around 4%, making it the lowest figure among all ages. Then the persentages of both age groups increased rose steadly until the end of the period, ending at 40% and 21%, respectively.
