The line graph shows information about how many changes were owned to cars in Great Britain over a forty year period from 1961 and 2001.
overall, it is clear that the number of people, without car, go down a period of time. The more time passes ,the more people have cars.
Looking at more closely at the line graph we can see that 70 % of people have cars in 1961. Then the figure decline signaficantly finishing at around 29 % in 2001. If we look at one car people, having remained stable at approximately 35% in 1961 changes then rose sharply , reaching nearly 50 % in 1981. There was then a gradual fall to around 44 % in 2001.
By contrast , 2 or more cars people , the trend was similar . In 1961 nobody had any cars , however after a period of time the figure reached to 12 % in 1971 . After that , despite improving sharply to just over 28 % in 2001.
