The presented chart shows the number of people moving from rural to urban areas in three nations. In general, the movement of country A and country C increased significantly, while that of country B increased slowly.
Regarding the figure for countries A and C, a sharp growth was recorded in both numbers of moving people. The number of country A’s people started at about 16 million people in 2000, whereas that of country C’s individuals was the lowest at below 10 million. From 2000 to 2010, the figure for people moving to urban areas in country A climbed remarkably, from 16 million to 42 million people. At the same time, there was a fluctuation upward in country C, from 10 million to 36 million people. The number of moving people in country A soared from 2010 to the end of the surveyed period and was forecasted to jump to nearly 85 million people. Although beginning at the lowest point, the figure for country C showed the most noticeable increase and overtook that for country A in 2020, at 80 million people.
Meanwhile, the number of individuals moving from rural to urban areas in country B went up marginally. In 2000, its starting point ranked second, at around 15 million people. During 20 years, it grew gradually by 10 million people and peaked at 30 million people in 2020. Since then, the figure for country B remained stable.
