The bar graphs illustrates amount of international students who began different types of programs in Australia between 2017 to 2020. The sectors include Higher Education, VET, ELICOS, Schools and Non-award programs.
Overall, the Higher Education and VET have the highest of results, while ELICOS has dropped by 2020. It is noticeable that schools and Non-award sectors always have smallest number of students.
From initial, in 2017, the Higher Education sector had approximately 150,000 students commencements. That number gradually increased, reaching around 180,000 by 2020. The VET education sector shows similar trend, by reaching 170,000 (the start was 130,000).
In contrast, Schools and non-award sectors always have the lowest student commencements. Between 2017 to 2020, schools show stable analysis (approximately 15,000). While non-award has a bit more, in 2017 had 35,000, but by 2020 this number decreased to 20,000.
The sector ELICOS was stable results from 2017 to 2019, had approximately 120,000 student commencements. However, in 2020 this number dropped sharply to under 70,000.
