The bar chart compares the number of people employed in five types of occupations — Sales, accounting, computing, nursing, and farming — in one region of Australia in 2001 and 2008. Overall, what stands out from both years is that sales was the most popular job. Another interesting point is that workers in computing, which increased moderately in 2008.
Looking at 2001, the number of people who occupied as sales were significantly higer than accounting, with figures of 155.000 and 65.000 respectively. The dispaity between the number of computing and nursing workers was minimal, with about 60.000 computing workers, compared to slightly lower nurses 59.000. The number of workers in accounting were twice as higher than that of farmers, recording for just 30.000 workers in farming.
Regarding to the changes in 2008, workers in sales went up slightly to 162.000. Workers in computing also experienced a moderate increase to 80.000. Small, but still slight rise observed in the workers in nursing, which soared to 60.000 by 1.000. By contrast, the figures for workers in accounting dropped to 60.000. Workers in farming also followed a similar pattern, which decreased to 20.000, which became the least number of people who were employed as workers in farming.
