The bar chart compares three age groups in terms of the percentage of Australian children taking part in four kinds of activites in 2012.
In general, the chart makes it clear that watching TV and riding a bike were the most popular activity across all age groups. Meanwhile, the participation in art declined with age, while readind remained stable.
Regarding art, the proportion of children decreased steadily,among children aged 5-8 years old 80%, those fior aged 9-11 and 12-14 accounted at 70% and 60%. In contrast, reading showedremained stable, young and the oldest group had identical figures, at 70%, whereas children aged 9-11recorded a slightly higher figure of 75%.
Looking at the rest, watching TV was the most popular activity in all groups, rising gradually 90-95%. Similarly, riding a bicycle increased from 65% in the youngest group to 78%, before reaching 80% in the oldest group.
