The bar graph compares the proportion of tutors by their gender in six various types of academic affairs in England, Wales and Scotland for 2010.
Overall, what stands out from this graph is that female teachers were predominant in earlier stages of education. In contrast, the higher the level of education, the more male teachers dominated. However, the midpoint for both genders was college-level.
Approximately 95% of all nursery staff were women, while the number of men was 5%. The same distribution as nursery schools, private schools share the percentages 95 out of 100 for women and the rest 5% for men. However, at the secondary level, the proportion of male staff was slightly less than female with 45% and 55%, respectively.
Starting from the private training institutes, the ratio of males was predominant, with 55% of all tutors. At the university level of study the significant number of teachers were male 70% and the rest, 30%, were for opposite gender.
