The table illustarate how the proportion of people using five different types modes of transportation to commute to work in city between 2010 and 2020.
Overall, the figure for car, bus, bicycles and train followed an upward trajectory, while the reverse was true for walking. Of particular note is, car which experienced the highest propotion to commute to work.
Focusing on increasing trends first, car topped the list with 55% when the period began. From this point onwards, the figure felt down to 42% in 2020. Bus transportation stood at 20% in 2010, followed by an increase to about 25% at the end of the period. Starting with 10% in 2010, bicycle growth sligthly to 18% in 2020. Moving to the train, the figure started the period with just 8%. Train transportation edged up to 10% by the end of the period.
Regarding to the walking, it bucked the trend. The figure had the lowest proportion with 7% when the period began. Walking felt down (5%) in 2020.
