The bar chart compares the percentage of UK people (men, women, and children) who ate five portions of fruit and vegetables per day from 2001 to 2008. Units are measured in per cent people (% people).
Overall, the number of people witnessed the same trend throughout the year. Women were the highest resident group, and children were the least group who ate the complete portions.
According to the graph, Women started at approximately 22% of the population in 2001. This increased significantly until it reached its peak in 2006, with a total of more than 30% of the population, before experiencing a fall in 2007 and ending at 30%.
The Men’s group remained stable at roughly 17% in the first three years (2001, 2002, and 2003). In 2004, it climbed significantly until reaching its peak at 27% in 2006 and remained stable until 2007. Then, it decreased slightly to 26% in 2008.
The children’s population remained stable at 13% in 2001, 2002, and 2003, then increased substantially until it reached 26% in 2007 and slightly dropped to 24% in 2008.
