The bar graph illustrates the proportion of fruits and vegetables that were daily consumed by the UK population from 2002 to 2010, at four-year intervals.
Overall, the percentage of people increased in each category over the period. Notably, women consistently had the highest percentage of products consumption throughout.
As can be seen from the chart, in the first year, a quarter of females ate fruits and vegetables, which then surged to nearly 32% by 2006, exhibiting the most significant rise. Furthermore, the figure for males was roughly 22% consuming these foods daily, which was exactly double the figure for children (11%) in 2002.
In 2006, the figure for males and kids groups reached their peaks of around 26% and 18%, then both of which dropped by 2% in the final year. However, females still recorded the most dramatic change, falling to slightly of about 6% while kids’s figures were continously the lowest at the end of the timeframe.
