Given is the graph illustrating the cost of four kinds of bread in a European nation between 2001 and 2005
It is immediately apparent that while the cost of wholegrain bread witnessed a dramatic fluctuation, the price of rye bread remained relatively stable. Moreover, there was a steady rise in the price of brown and white bread over the period. In addition, though wholegrain bread had the highest figure at the beginning, it was knocked down from the top by brown bread at the end.
Turning to further details, the cost of wholegrain bread commenced at precisely 0.8 euro in 2001. Subsequently, it went up swiftly and hit the peak of 1.8 euro in the next year, before dropping sharply to its original price at the end of the surveyed time. At the same time, the price of rye bread witnessed a comparative stability, starting at 0.6 euro in 2001 and ending at slightly above 0.6 euro in 2005.
A closer look at the graph reveals that in 2001, a kilo of brown bread was charged 0.6 euro. The figure then increased rapidly to the summit of 1.6 euro in 2003. After that, it fell slightly to 1.4 euro in 2004 before witnessing a rebound to 1.6 euro at the end. Similarly, the price of white bread increased moderately at a slower pace to 1.3 euro in 2005, though starting at the same point as brown bread.
