The chart presents the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attractions in Britain in 1999. The four types of tourist attractions mentioned with their percentages are theme parks, museums and galleries, historic houses and monuments, and wildlife parks and zoos, with 38%, 37%, 16%, and 9% respectively.
Overall, in 1999 most British tourists visited theme parks, and fewer were interested in visiting wildlife parks and zoos. Tourists also preferred to visit museums and galleries, but not as much as theme parks. Unfortunately, people did not want to visit historic houses in Britain. Moreover, from the table, almost half of the visitors often visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the theme parks category.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is considered to be a favourite spot in Britain, as more than 16% of tourists visited only this place, which is more popular than the two categories of wildlife parks and historic houses. Alton Towers and Pleasureland, Southport are two different tourist attractions in Britain where 16% of the 38% visited. Similarly, Legoland Windsor and Chessington World of Adventures are two theme parks where a smaller number of tourists visited.
