The pie chart compares four types of tourist attractions[wildlife parks and zoos, historic houses and monuments, museums and galleries, and theme parks] in Britain in terms of their popularity between visitors in 1999.Measures are given in percentages.
Overall, the majority of tourists preferred to visit museums and galleries, and theme parks while wildlife parks and zoos, historic houses and monuments accounted for smaller proportion of visitors.
Starting with museums and galleries, the considerable number of tourists[37%] visited to these attractions in 1999, followed in distance by historic houses and monuments with only 16% of visitors. When it comes to wildlife parks and zoos, only 9% of tourists were attracted in that year.
As far as the most common tourist attraction is concerned, it stands out with the highest figure[38%] in the entire graph. In turn, we can separate the theme parks into five sub-pie charts. For example, in theme parks, Blackpool pleasure beach was the most common tourist choice that 47% of visitors visited. Alton towers[17%] and pleasureland southport[16] accounted almost for same, slightly different, proportion of tourists. Lastly, both Chengiston and legoland attracted same [10%] visitors.
