Overall, the car theft was the most common criminal activity throughout the period. It increased significantly until 1990, before this figure fell gradually afterwards. In contrast house burglary crime rose steadily at fast then it gradually declining, while street robbery remained the least common crime but showed a small increase toward in of the period.
Analyzing the data, car theft figure rising in steady pattern until the year 1990, accounted for about 1.0 million starting from the year 1970 around 0.4 million. After that, from which point the figure reached a peak at 1.6 million in 1995, before falling to roughly 1 million by the final year.
By contrast, House burglary started at around 0.2 million cases in 1970. The number The number climbed to about 0.7 million in 1990 and remained stable for a short time before gradually declining approximately 0.5 million in 2005. In addition, Street robbery was very low from 1970 to 1990, staying close to zero. However, it increased slightly afterwards, reaching around 0.2 million in 2005.
