Freelance consultants have 40% earning $75,000-$99,999 and another 40% earning $100,000. Employees in private companies earn less, with only 30% earning $100,000 and 25% earning $75,000-$99,999. Those working for private companies earn considerably less than those in the government sector or as freelance consultants.
