The chart illustrates the data about the percentage of students preference on different science subjects in a university between 1992 and 2000.
Overall, males dominated the chart during the whole period. Biology the most popular subject between 1992 and 2000 while computer science made up the lowest percentage.
Regarding higher figures, males chose science subjects more than females standing at about 65% in 1992 while females standing at 30% at the same year. However, figures for males decreased substantially with 50%. In contrast, figures for females increased sharply from 30% to approximately 47% in 2012.
In terms of science subjects, the biology was the highest figure in 1992 and 2000 accounting for 67% in 1992 and about 42% with the latter. When it comes to physics, it remained almost constant in both years with the discrepancy 3% (20-23). It is worth to note that, the computer science was the less popular subject in 1992 making up 3%. However it witnessed sharp grows in 2012 with 24%.
