This chart illustrates the changing percentage of women with higher education from 1997 to 2005 in various countries. In some countries, the indicators truly changed significantly, while in others, there was not much change.
In 1997, the indicators in the USA and the UK were almost the same, both below 40 percent, with the USA slightly higher. However, by 2005, the indicator for the UK surpassed that of the USA. The chart also highlights the growth in the percentage of highly educated women in Japan. In 1997, the proportion of women with university degrees was 20 percent, but by 2005, it had doubled.
Interestingly, the chart shows one country where the indicators did not change at all: Canada consistently had the highest proportion of educated women throughout the years.
In conclusion, I can say that the percentage of educated women did not decrease in any of the countries. In most countries, the percentage increased, except for Canada
