The graph gives detailed information about the proportion of women going into higher education in five countries for the years 1980 and 2015.
Overall, it is clear that females who went into university education made up the largest distribution at almost 60% in Australia for both years while South Korea accounted for the lowest share with 15% in 1980 and it represented 30% in 2015. The disparity between the biggest and smallest was notable.
Upon closer examination, it is evident that Australia held equal change at 60% in both years, following by the USA which was solely 2015. However, women school-leavers going into university constituted nearly 40% in the past year 1980. As for South Korea, it comprised the lowest segment with 15% in 1980. Nevertheless, the number of females increased considerably from 15% to 30% as soon as 2015 came. France and the UK represented approximately 55% for the year 2015. France comprised 50% which was not much lower than other countries in 1980, with the UK registering lower figure than France at 35%.
