The bar chart provides information about the proportion of male and female executives in six types of occupation across various industries in the UK during 2007.
Overall, as can be clearly seen, women were predominantly employed in teaching, while males were more likely to work in construction.
Turning to the data for females, the most massive proportion of them chose teaching. In the fields of therapy, females accounted for well over 80 per cent, while the men were just under 20 per cent. Additionally, there were more women than men in the field of advertising, with females holding over 50 per cent and males approximately 45 per cent.
Men predominated in the field of construction. Regarding scientists, the percentage of males was slightly higher than females, with approximately 60 per cent for men and around 40 per cent for women. Similarly, the proportion of males preferring working in law was also higher than females, accounting for well over 50 per cent and just under 50 per cent. In contrast, the figure for journalism experienced a same rate standing at just around 50 per cent.
