The figures provide information on the proportion of consumers’ choices of websites and reasons of purchasing among Australia and New Zealand in 2012. Overall,in two countries the largest proportion of buyers was recorded in both overseas and local websites, while the smallest in local only. Moreover, lower price is considered to be an ubiquitous reason for the purchase among both country.
With regard to local websites, the proportion of New Zealand’s buyers amounted at 14%, followed by Australia with 14 % ranking the last place out of 3.The highest proportion of Australia’s both local and overseas consumers totalled at 64%, and New Zealand showed 14% lower result. Conversely, Australian consumers of local websites were 12 % higher than that of New Zealand’s, respectively.
Next to consider is lower price being the common reason among consumers,accounting for 59% and 51% in Australia and New Zealand, in the same order. While 23% percent of Australia’s customers preferred convenience, being nearly as twice higher than New Zealand’s, a plethora of choices overstripped convenience in New Zealand, in a share.
