The given pie charts give information about means of transport people used in Cambridge within a 10-year time period.
Overall, it is illustrated that the percentage of people using cars and busses decreased over the given period. whereas, the other two categories showed an opposite trend almost doubling.
In 2008, cars accounted for 42% percent of means of transporting among Cambridge’s citizens, this was closely followed by busses with 30% of the total modes of commuting. Although, with the passage of time these categories experienced a sudden decrease in terms of percentage-wise, descending to 20% and 25% respectively.
While the number of people who used cars and busses initially as their means of transporting was significantly higher compared to overall users of bicycles and those who preferred walking in 2008, the chart relevant as of 2018, represented a complete different picture with the number of motorcycle drivers almost doubling and those who preferred walking rising by 14%.
