The given two charts illustrate the proportional variations in the resources used for energy production in a particular country in 1985 and 2003. Overall, there were six main types of supplies, and oil was the principal source in both years.
In 1985, the fuel of natural gas was used 13%, and by 2003 this usage increased to 23%, which was almost equal to the result of coal that rose from 8% to 22%. Having used the lowest amount, the category of other renewables was merely 1% that grew to 4% in 2003.
Oil remained the dominant energy source throughout both years, although its share decreased from 52% in 1985 to 39% in 2003. Similarly nuclear showed 22% in 1985, but in 2003 it had dramatically fallen to 8%. In contrast, the utilization percentage of hydro remained the same over the two-year period (4%).
