How chosen people based on age bought tickets using the Internet during 3 initial months of the 2006 year in 3 countries and the ways of access are depicted in the patterns. Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, the group of young adults prevailed in two countries, Australia and the United Kingdom, while another group used the Internet more in Malaysia. Desktop computers were used the most, whereas mobile phones the least.
It is evident that Australian and British representatives of the age 25 – 44 purchased tickets online in the same proportion of approximately 55, while Malaysian just below 40. However, the percentage of the older generation was equal for the UK and Malaysia with 43%, differing from Australia by a mere 2%.
On the whole, the most common means of access to buy tickets were used by Malaysian respondents in all categories, being just above 60 for the computers, 40 and 30 for laptops and mobile phones respectively, while UK’s percentage of representatives was the least at desktops and mobile phones, approximately 58 and 25 correspondingly. However, the usage of the laptops differed significantly with UK having the least proportion of almost 30.
