The pie chart gives information about global water usage and the horizontal bar chart compares the amount of water used for different purposes in four different countries in 2000. Overall, it can be seen that water has been used in a minimal amount for domestic in worldwide and all chosen countries except for New Zealand. The figures were given in percentages.
Starting with the pie chart, agriculture was the most predominant utilization with 70%, which was more than double that of domestic and industry use, followed by industry with almost a quarter of the pie chart. The domestic sector was the least used, which uses water only 8%.
Moving to the bar chart, the most frequent sector in China and India was agriculture. However, it was not the same in the other two countries, in New Zealand, the figures for agriculture were a slightly lower than the domestic, and in Canada, it was the opposite with China and India with only 8%. On the other hand, the amount of water utilized for domestic purposes was relatively low in almost all selected nations except for New Zealand, with domestic usage being the highest sector. Moreover, the industry sectors have similar figures, with low percentage in most countries except Canada,which industry was the most common sector with significant figures of 80%.
