The line graph shows the relationship between age and crime, while the pie chart displays the four categories of crimes committed in the UK in 2002.
Overall, it is clear that the age of most offenders ranged from 16 to 24 and the most committed crime type was violent crime.
Starting with the line graph, no crimes were committed until people were 8 years old. As they turned to 12, around 5% of crimes were committed, that number quickly increased to 70% by the time they were 16 and reached 80% when they were 20. After that, there was a sudden downfall to 20% as they turned to 28, after that the decline started to become moderate. At the end, it became less than 10% when people turned 60.
Turning to the pie chart, violent crime is noted for the highest crime with 46%. In addition, property crime and drug crime were almost equal, rated at 23% and 22% respectively. Furthermore, only 9% of the crimes were committed by public order, which is the least crime committed in the United Kingdom in 2002.
