This pie chart shows and compares teenager’s free time activities between 2009 and 2019. There are six different types of activities in the pie chart: sports, television, internet, walking, music and cooking.
The activity with largest proportion in 2009 was music, but this changed a lot when compared with 2019, because it decreased, and the internet occupied this place as the top activity done by teenagers.
With 24% of the total percentage, music decreased to 18% in 2019, and internet triplicated the proportion and increased from 12% to 38% ten years later in 2019. The second activity performed by teenagers was television in 2009, with 19% of the proportion and keeping a similar result in 2019 with 22%.
The worst result is cooking, because in 2009, an average of the 16% of the activities was cooking, but decreased a lot when compared with 2019, with only 8%. And walking is the activity with less representation, only 8% in 2009 and 3% in 2019. In conclusion, the most significant activity is the internet, and activities out of home very few teenagers did them.
