Overall, the average age of men retired steadily increased in all countries, while the average age of women fluctuates.
The average age of men in Denmark had increased slightly from 62 to 62,5 in 2004 and 2008 respective, France also climbed slowly by 0,5 from 58,5 to 59 in 2004 and 2008 individually. Additionally, Germany recorded to have the avarage of 61 in 2004 and surged by 1 to 62. Italy remained the same both years, at 60. Netherlands and Sweden had increased by 0,5 at 63 and 63,5 in 2008 respectively. Moreover, the UK had almost the same average at roughly 62,5.
The women in Denmark had approximately 60 in 2004 and rose by 0,5 to 60,5 in 2008. France remaines the same average at roughly 59. In addition, Germany also shows an increase from 60,5 to 61 in 2004 and 2008 individually. Italy plunged slightly from 60 to 59. While, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK all of them surged by 0,5 from 2004 to 2008.
