Generally speaking, US people used the least amount of nutrients at breakfast across all dining times. In contrast, large consumption of nutrients was witnessed during dinner, followed by lunch. Additionally, sodium was used equally in both breakfast and snacks with 14% by US citizens.
During dinner, people usually added sodium (43%) and saturated fat (37%) in high portions. Not only at dinner but also during lunchtime, they used these elements frequently, sodium at 29% and fats at 26%. Furthermore, sugar was consumed in huge amounts during snacks at 42%, mostly added to tea, coffee, and chai.
On the other hand, breakfast remained the least likely to incorporate essential elements into food. Sodium took only a 14% share, and a slight increment was shown in the consumption of fats and sugar at 16%. In addition, snacks shared almost the same portion as the morning and midday meals.
