The bar chart depicts the monthly bookings for one leisure centre by seven distinct groups in 2018 and 2022, while the pie chart shows the distribution of bookings across the different times of day in 2022.
Overall, most groups met more frequently in 2022. However, live music and yoga & fitness showed different patterns: one experienced a reverse trend, while the other remained unchanged. Moreover, live music and dance groups had the highest monthly bookings in 2018 and 2022, respectively. In addition, most of the bookings were made between 18:00 and 21:00.
Concerning the bar chart, in 2018, the numbers of monthly bookings made by book club, quizzes, language class and the other groups were between 5 and 10. Yoga & fitness, dance groups and live music booked significantly more often, with the highest frequency belonging to live music at around 27. After four years, the figures for the first four mentioned groups all more than doubled. In contrast, the frequency of meetings for yoga & fitness remained unchanged, and that of dance groups also stayed stable, with a minor rise to roughly 28. Conversely, the monthly bookings of live music showed a significant reduction, dropping to just under 10.
As can be seen from the pie chart, the leisure centre was most frequently used in the afternoon and evening hours. In particular, a major proportion of the meetings was set to meet at between 18:00 and 21:00, accounting for 45% of the total. The time from 15:00 to 18:00 was the second most popular time during the day, making up a quarter of all the bookings, followed by the period of early afternoon from 12:00 to 15:00 at 16%. The leisure centre was booked less in the morning, during two intervals of 6:00 to 9:00 and 9:00 to 12:00, with the percentage of bookings staying below 10%.
