Overall, salt water made up the majority of all water while ice and glaciers contributed most to fresh water, in terms of pie charts. Regarding the bar chart, Egypt and Saudi Arabia used most water for agriculture, whereas Canada prioritized water for industry.
In terms of pie charts, salt water accounted for the largest sector of the world’s water, reaching 97% compared to freshwater, which only comprised 3% to the whole sector. The major contributor of fresh water was ice and glaciers, making up nearly 80%, while ground water and surface water represented only a fifth and 1%, respectively in the same sector.
Regarding the bar chart, Egypt and Saudi Arabia prioritized their water for agriculture, taking up around 80%, whereas Canada only used a tenth of water for the same category. On the other hand, the percentage of water used in Canada for industry comprised 80%, while this figure in Egypt and Saudi Arabia was just approximately 10%. Using water for domestic purposes in three countries only contributed to just over 10%.
