The given pie charts depict the distribution of electricity used for 8 various sectors in 2007 and 2010 Eastern Australia.
Overall, it’s noticeable that the majority of electricity consumption in both years was for residential and commercial purposes. In addition, while the percentage of electricity allocated for manufacturing and aluminum witnessed downward trends, the figure for other metals experienced the opposite and no change was observed in the remaining categories.
In 2007, the largest proportion of electricity used goes to homes with 28%, followed by commercial purposes with 5% less. Although those figures sow no difference after 3 years, they still maintained their first and second places. Mining, transport and agriculture were also sectors that did not record any change in proportion. However, they accounted for the lowest percentage in both years, at 9,1 and 1 percent, respectively.
Although in 2007, aluminum and manufacturing make up 13% each of the total electricity used, in 2010, the figure for both sectors experienced a marginal drop about 2 percents for aluminum and 4 percents for the latter. The only sector that witnessed a sharp increase in proportion was other metals. This sector rose from 12 percents to 18 percents.
