In 2007, the residential sector consumed the highest proportion of electricity at 28%, and this figure remained the same in 2010. The commercial sector followed with 23% usage in both years. Manufacturing saw a significant decrease, dropping from 13% in 2007 to 9% in 2010. Similarly, the aluminium sector’s share declined from 13% to 11%. In contrast, the “other metals” sector experienced a notable increase from 12% in 2007 to 18% in 2010. The mining sector remained stable at 9%, while agriculture and transport maintained minimal shares of just 1% each throughout the period, indicating very limited electricity consumption in these sectors compared to the others.
