The pie charts depict the share of people aged 23-65 in different type of work in one UK Town (Ashby) and the UK as a whole in 2008.
Overall, there was a noticeable that Ashby had highest percentage of people that worked in personal service, hence, people that were employed in professional work took the smallest share. Meanwhile, The UK as a whole dominantly work as officer worker and people who work in unemployed and construction comprised the least proportion.
Turning to details, Ashby had the highest proportion of people that work in personal service, accounting for 21%. This was followed by office work was 18%, construction work was 16%, unemployed 14%, and shop worked 14%. Compared to others, professional work and technical work were the less preferred by Ashby’s people, each constituting 8% and 9% respectively.
Regarding the UK people as whole, office work was the majority option of employment that chosen by UK people, comprising 19%. Meanwhile, unemployed and work in construction comprised the less preference of UK people, each accounting for 10%. Furthermore, technical work and personal service constituted each 17%, this shares were bigger than shop and professional work that only took 13% and 14% respectively.
