The presented pie charts compare the proportions of learners partaking in multiple courses in an adult education center between 1985 and the present.
Overall, this year has witnessed the disappearance of music and history as well as the emergence of a new subject, IT. Evidently, whilst cookery has gained in popularity over the time, fitness and dance’s fame has remained static and the remaining categories have lowered their attendance.
Specifically, despite occupying 15% and 8% respectively in 1985, local history and music appreciation have been canceled from the course list. Simultaneously, appearing lately, IT has currently taken a prevalence with 27%, the highest figure documented.
Meanwhile, Art and modern languages have lost favor, where their registration percentages correspondingly declined from 17% to 15% and 24% to 17% over the given period. In stark contrast, cookery now accounts for nearly a fifth of courses taken, about 5% higher than its data in 1985. Only in fitness and dance has its portion remained intact, at 22%, and persisted as the second hottest course all the time.
