Overall, the proportion of expenditure on utilities, eating out and transportation went up from 2000 to 2010, while the figures for clothing experienced a rapid decrease.The other tips of spending remained stable.
In 2000, 29% of an average university students budget went on food and drink and did not experience change in the next decade. Similarly, the expenditure of holiday and sports and culture had a leveling out at around 5% and 17% respectively.
Clothing accounted for 16% of spending in 1997 and it had declined dramatically by 11% by 2010. That of eating out and utilities increased about 5 percentage, while a mere 1% of expenditure was added to transportation.
