by six categories in 2005 and 2015.
Overall, Teaching and research was the most significant supplier by far in both years. Teaching also increased it is dominance ,whilst all other categories of expenditure lost a share. The three largest categories of university expenditure in 2005 were teaching and researching, accommodation, and maintaining campuses, with 53%, 16%, and 10%, respectively.
However, whilst teaching increased it is share to almost half. Accommodation saw a dropping from 16% to 8%. Despite a minor maintaining remined stay stable from 10% to 10% in 2015, maintaining replaced accommodation the second highest category in 2015.
The remaining three competitors had around a 6% – 10% of the total in 2005 each, but all fell by around 5% in 2015 of the three smallest category’s ,Libraries ,Financial support , and Accommodation fell the most dropping from 10% to 5% Libraries went from the smallest category in 2005 to the fourth largest im 2015
