In North America, 62 units of protein were from animals, which was triple that from other sources, whose total exceeded the ideal calorie intake, at nearly 70 units, contributing to its first rank in protein intake. Additionally, citizens in Latin America used 32 units of animal protein, while other protein consumed in this country was just 13 units. This was followed by East Africa, whose average protein intake was 31 units in total, comprising 16 units of animal protein and 15 units of other protein. Lastly, India was the only nation that had the consumption of other protein, at 15 units, surpassed that of animal protein, at 13 units.
Regarding the average calorie intake, dwellers in North America consumed approximately 3500 calories, exceeding the ideal calorie intake, at nearly 3000 calories, making it the country that had the largest amount of calorie intake. Latin America was at the second rank with about 2600 calories, which nearly met the ideal calorie intake. In addition, the figures for East Africa and India were significantly lower, at 2300 calories and 2000 calories respectively.
