The pie charts give information about the types of sports, in which students of an American high school participated in 2003 and 2013.
Overall, it can be seen that most of student chosed two sports in 2003, while the majority shifted toward three major sports by the end of 2013.
In 2003, about half of student an approximate of 44% students participated in football. This was followed by 28% of students enrollement in basketball. Meanwhile, these proportions fell steadily in the next ten years. By the end of 2013, almost 37% and 22% students chosed football and basketball respectively.
Furthermore, 12% of participants played volleyball in 2003. There was a dramatic increase in it popularity. By the end of 2003, the percentage of volleyball almost arose double (23%). Similarly, the contribution of other sports increased from 4% to 5%. In addition, the proportion of students, which did not participate in any sport were also increased from 3% to 7%. Meanwhile, tennis’s figures decreased from 9 to 7%.
